You can’t learn how to ride a bicycle by thinking.
How is it that we know how to ride a bike? Is the bicycle against natural law? Perhaps it is a wicked invention of the Devil...putting feet to a use that was never intended by the Lord.

The bicycle allowed men and women a lot more freedom. You could cycle to the next village or two not find a partner. It probably had a significant impact on genetics, among other things.

HG Wells writes extensively about the bicycle and its revolutionary potential. We have forgotten this now, but it the bicycle really did speed up Edwardian life. It had a greater impact than the car at first.

The 20th century extended our speed in space immensely: cars, aviation, and rockets. This was a completion of a 19th century trend.
