People like to say that we have more computing power than the entire Apollo program in our pockets, thanks to smartphones. What do we do with this? Send d!ck pics, show off, and book restaurants. And STILL not back on Moon. Was the desktop computer a dead end?
Perhaps computers should have been limited to scientists, certain businesses, military, and research organisations. The development may have been very different and fruitful in unexpected ways—possibly the same with Internet. They would have built different computers.
