I'm a consultant myself, so...great! But the way campaigns *spend* money doesn't vary too much. The one difference with the Sanders model - it spends heavily on fundraising itself. Direct/mass marketing is expensive.

It hasn't moved the needle much either. They are just terrible at getting new people. They are terrible at outreach. It seems to be all about getting more money and more fervor from the people who are already supporting Sanders.

You being an expert, maybe you know: Will it ever happen that our election cycles are shortened to be more like other countries? Our long ones seem to be the cause of so much money being required to run for office. Can the Fed. Govt dictate an "earliest date" for state primaries?
