I lived/worked in Navy Yard for 8 yrs. Dined at Blue Jacket first day it opened. Navy Yard was a safe, growing & wonderful example of redevelopment from 2012-2018ish. covered crime & there was rarely even a theft. Now there’s shootings & carjackings daily.

I took a picture of this car because it almost hit a pedestrian who had the right of way in a marked crosswalk in the 2300 block of Southern Avenue SE. Around 30 secs later it decided to run the red light and speed off into the night with impunity. #weknowwhothebaddriversare

Visited with the team at today to learn more about the Burn Center, the only adult burn center in the DC metro area. Also toured the new Biocontainment Unit which is dedicated space for patients who contract highly infectious diseases.
