  5. Yes, we already know what this 3yr looks like because he’s my Son and currently 11yrs old. Coaches often won’t believe what they can’t measure. Having worked with hundreds of thousands of kids over the years it’s easy to see what works and what does not.

Thank you. I’m fortunate to have worked over 3 decades with half a million children, parents and coaches and have connected many dots regarding development and seen firsthand the many that make it to the elite levels and the many that do not. There is much we have missed.

Yep, parents of small kids get the message right away. We do sessions with parents and after a 1hr presentation many of them are more knowledgeable about development than some coaches who have coached for 20yrs. Learning how we learn is key to making learning more meaningful.

The reason parents are so key to participating in their child’s dev is because of the influence they have over anyone else at that phase of their life. The Football world has not caught up to what science already knows, skill acquisition happens much earlier than supposed.

It’s difficult to replicate that 1 on 1 interaction between a child & parent at the youngest ages. A child seeking their parents approval, attention & praise is the a natural reaction. A child’s brain is 90% developed by years 5,6. Neural pathways are ripe for wiring & learning.

The infamous Baby Football Leagues of Uruguay! Different cultures accept different things. This is what many credit the success for so many top Footballers from such a tiny population. Countries have to be creative and think up ways to compete!
