Tom, I love the sentiment, but would like to hear more about actionable plans. Feel free to outline them so we can see how you/DNC are backing them up. Also, we notice that you/DNC make it very difficult for the base to meet and discuss ideas with you in an open forum.

Would you and
@keithellison consider coming to@theAWParty D.C. conference in mid-May where we are specifically discussing voting rights, and policy that disproportionately affects WOC, Women, marginalized groups such as the disability community and the intersection of all? -
As you know many folks in the media have pushed the narrative that Dems aren't unified (we are), that we don't have cogent ideas (we do) and that we aren't great with messaging (ah, they got us there). I hope you'll be interested in meeting with us to help with messaging.
-
I'm old enough to remember
@JoeNBC and his@Morning_Joe panel blasting Democrats for not having any ideas or being weak on messaging. Virginia and Alabama is our answer to them. -
Yes, but it was Alabama and Virginia Democrats on the ground and NOT the DNC. Don't be fooled.
-
This actually isn't true. It was certainly an effort of local and state groups, but the DNC and national groups and efforts did a lot, too. I personally text-banked 500 Alabamians from Ohio through Indivisible the last two weekends and Election Day.
-
good on you Matthew!

-
I agree with you Matthew (and my organization also worked to
#GOTV in AL and VA) that the DNC was on the ground. My comment was directed at Tom in regards to how he plans on centering Black women in the Democratic Party. - 5 more replies

So stop embracing
@BernieSanders and his loyalists! We are democrats! No Caucasus, closed primaries! -
Agreed but lets not fight or bad mouth any democrats or liberal voters. Lets stay united together both
@HillaryClinton and@BernieSanders supporters. TOGETHER we can win real America back. Together the USA way. -
@BernieSanders said southern democratic voters, code for black people were "low information" voters and Democrats should not waste time on the south. A reminder to all Black Women won Alabama. To embrace anyone in the party who denigrates their importance should not be welcome -

THEN, STOP TAKING US FOR GRANTED. Stop trying to Unify us with people who have no desire to help fight civil rights for all. Please stop trying to make Bernie and his gang of abusers happen. Do you know the amount of horribleness we put up with everyday fighting for this party?
-
I think this whole Unity Reform Commission is just an exercise by
@TomPerez to pacify the Bernie Bros. -
Oh agree but DNC's time resources and talent was spent on them instead of gerrymandering, voter suppression and intimidation practices
-
Exactly. These issues are way more important than the feelings of someone who ISN’T A PART OF THE PARTY. Blows my mind why they’re still trying to make Bernie happy!
-
Optics. Lip service. Pat the baby on the head in public, do the real hard work behind the scenes. Just sayin.
-
Just want to make sure it’s getting done and credit doesn’t go to the ones not doing the work.
-
If nothing else giving them an official dnc platform to attack us and grift at the same time needs to stop
-
Thank you
