We've got a lot of Ukrainians around town for obvious reasons, and I'm always amazed by how fast their kids learn Polish. I know one Slav learning another Slav's language is easy mode, but still -- the learning ability of children borders on superpower sometimes.

This is Sea of Thieves footage from Novmber of 2014. An upgrade from the earliest pill pirates, but still very much a work in progress. It was using Unity for more agile, iteratative testing, while work in Unreal at this time was very early, aiming to create the reveal trailer.

I think the main brilliance of this game is that it manages to dodge the usual city builder problem where, once you optimise your economy, there's not much else to do. Here, as the creature wanders through different environments, you constantly have to shift things around.
