Started reading "Gideon the Ninth" after hearing recommend it on a podcast, and it's like an unapologetically queer marriage of Warhammer 40k and Harry Potter, with space lesbian necromancers. Which is to say very enjoyable.

And if you wonder how I got to know the average level of Polish among local kids, here's a quick guide: 1. Go to a park. 2. Fly an FPV drone. 3. Congrats, you now know all the kids in the neighbourhood.

We've got a lot of Ukrainians around town for obvious reasons, and I'm always amazed by how fast their kids learn Polish. I know one Slav learning another Slav's language is easy mode, but still -- the learning ability of children borders on superpower sometimes.

Those work-in-progress videos have to be the best thing to come out of this entire kerfuffle! I wish our inside compilation of the best The Witcher bugs and placeholders hasn't been lost to time and ancient hard drives, as it was an absolute treasure!

I think what pisses me off the most about the GTA6 leak is Gamers™ looking at this very clearly WiP footage and calling it shit. You'd think people so invested in a medium to base their entire personality around its consumption would understand it a little better.

Yup. People treating any creative work as some public commodity that deserves to be "freed" are peak entitled assholes.

Every dev deserves to reveal gameplay of their game on their terms. Super sad about the GTA leak:/ Fuck the hacker that did it.

I think the main brilliance of this game is that it manages to dodge the usual city builder problem where, once you optimise your economy, there's not much else to do. Here, as the creature wanders through different environments, you constantly have to shift things around.

Hi I'm Philomena and I spent the past 3 years of my life making a weird game where you build a city on the back of a giant, wandering creature. I couldn't decide if I want to study biology or game design. Ended up co-founding an indie game studio making science inspired games :D

I've been covering bad parts of the internet for long time now. For years, there was one site extremist researchers warned me not to cover because publicizing it would be dangerous. But it's time people know KiwiFarms—and how they're chasing political enemies around the world.
