Are you actually kidding? His mouth said he wanted to work together but the policies he presented, the framing of the policies - it was all designed to be actively appalling to Democrats. There was nothing bipartisan about it at all.

This is 100% wrong. The reason they weren’t clapping is because Trump took credit for something Obama’s accomplished and asked them to thank him for it. No more, no less.

The ‘offer’ came with provisos and conditions that no sane democrat can possibly agree to. So it’s not an offer. Any more than me offering you half a million dollars and all you have to do is sell me your family. Dude, it’s half a million dollars! Everyone likes money!

Reps get secure border and logical immigration reform, Dems get citizenship for dreamers. Dems have to be willing to give some things up but they are not. You want to minimize the Repub sacrifice on giving dreamers citizenship while making the dem sacrifice bigger than it is.

Democrats have compromised on this already. They’ve agreed to a portion of Wall funding. The wall is projected to cost almost as much as the entire US public school system for a year. There is no way any Democrat can agree to spend that entire amount.

No, not for a moment. I think extreme policies are things like (1) alienated all of the US's allies (2) trying to make Russia like America even though they have a tiny economy and want to circumvent our democracy
