I don't understand the encoding lag at all on 709/RGB. I don't see increased CPU or GPU usage, my hardware is strong enough (i9-7900X + RTX 2080) and it's only 1080p25 (my capture card on other PC doesn't accept 4:4:4 above 1080p30).

If you post an issue on github include a log from that happening *after* OBS has been closed. The profiler might help nail down where the bottleneck here is.

Oh, thats not encoding lag. That's a straight up failure of the encoding engine. You're pretty much not pushing anything usable out of OBS at this point. any failures in the encode just shows up as dropped frames. In that SS, your CPU is not even being used

It does output "something", a very laggy/delayed output, even on a still image. The RGB with the keyer trick gives me a clean 4:4:4 601 output, but I can't use it anyway because of maximum 1080p30 on my Decklink SDI Micro and the encoding lag of course.

I have game PC (PC1) & stream PC (PC2) PC1 captures gameplay (+ audio through ASIO) with OBS. PC1 Decklink outputs that over SDI to PC2's Decklink card. PC2 does all the encoding and scenes. For productions I use PC1 as control/production PC and use PC2 solely as encoder.

Ah, Any particular reason you're looking for RGB or 444? or just more of a "can I do this" sort of thing? In our exp, after a signal hits a few different devices the quality is already degraded. The eventual Twich encode or any meaningful compression makes it hard to see any dif

It's pure for testing to find similar/different behaviour between the different formats in OBS. I'm more than happy with 4:2:0/709/partial for online broadcasting.

My travel days are very tight, quite sure I don't have time to visit any external. I'll probably stick to Anaheim area for this trip (yes I know Anaheim sucks).
