1) it is useful?
2) how do you organise stuff in it?
3) how frequently do you write/type in it?
4) what kinda stuff do you record?

1) yes. sometimes hard to find things but it often helps with deja vu and to assist thinking.
2) pretty much mbox format, multiple files with some indexing tools
3) constantly
4) almost everything, including mistakes, dead ends and very vague ideas or hunches
