Hangouts voice in this case. I've been all over the map with other tools whose machinery I don't know.

Im using hardware SIP phones and SIP adapters (SPA3102, FritzBox) since a couple of years now and I'm quite happy with how it works.

Also I took some time to learn Asterisk. It is a pain to set up and test but once the part after the pain is worth it.
