Why can't I find *anything* about people using Minsky's HAKMEM circle algorithm to do DSP tone detection? Seems like an obvious application.

MinskyHakmemCircle might be less efficient than Goertzel, but it sure looks more efficient. No multiplies for most f. What am I missing?

Also, the Minsky system is unstable, so it needs an extra cosine term to dampen it. Approximation cos=1 is used in Minsky's circle.

I mean somethig like x_new = 0.9 x_old + 0.1 y_old + input, y_new = 0.9 y_old + 0.1 x_new

last + is a -. this is similar to Goertzel, but using a different "filter realization" i.e. "state space form".
