Ask me something about Embedded, or Embedded Rust.
(also: whoops didn't mean to make the last RT noreply)

I need http + websocket over USB Ethernet, with migration path to https in the future. This is on STM32H7. What crates do I use?

Smoltcp (docs.rs/smoltcp/latest) is the "native Rust LwIP" (if that makes sense), I've not done a lot of HTTP/WS, maybe or might have suggestions for the higher parts of the stack that are no-std friendly?

Is the mcu going to be client or server? Re https/TLS: ring is probably your best bet as foundation but I think it requires an allocator.

I don't know of a ready made http server, I've written my own but it's VERY bare bones. Reading embedded-websocket source might help re usage of the httparse crate. If security is key get professional review, http can be nasty

Security is not a concern.
Thanks everyone for the pointers!
