It may be months or years, but I always come back to #Forth. What does that say about our current state of software development?

Bloated, but seems inescapable. For embedded I've been trying to take the best of both worlds and focus on stripping down what actually goes on the MCU. I do find the modern compile time stuff (advanced types, code generators) quite useful as a way to pin down mental context.
