I'd like to change a STM32F103 design (20k SRAM, 128k self-prog Flash, USB FS, 3xUART, 1xI2C) to a different chip that has good likelihood to actually be available in the next year for a reasonable price.
What manufacturers are people migrating to these days?

The code protection is a thing we're a bit worried about as well. Might not release on STM32F103 at all. Product is very cloneable...
The nRF only seems to have 2 UARTs. I will need 3 unfortunately... Multiplexing pins is not going to cut it.
Other suggestions welcome!

Honestly? RP2040 seems like the best bet as of today. I hope they have stocks/wafers lined up to carry them through the next year if everyone starts switching tho :p

no flash and M0+ instead of M3 seem like pretty significant mismatches, and the lack of any kind of secure bootloader renders the RP2040 inappropriate for commercialization if that’s a possibility

honestly I’d consider using a nRF52820 or one of its siblings. the RF functionality is just another peripheral that can be ignored, and availability still seems to be decent

100% agree!
Hey , can you please please please make an nRF42 or an nRF50 or something that is exactly the nRF52840, but no radio, and maybe cheaper?
I would use that in SO MANY projects where wireless isn't needed, since your peripheral design is so nice!
