It seems like the right solution in some sense: burn it all down and start over. It's a step in the right direction. Just that the burning down part isn't always very practical when all you need is just another hit from the incremental fix bowl.

The problem I have is that now I have two things: Nix, and the old way, awkwardly bolted together.
