I don't think syntax details are the win here, not writing or inheriting methods is the win.
In any case, I find this nicer as a composition. `(eat . toast) bread` or `eat . toast $ bread`

Sure. But not everything has higher order functions. In Rust I do like that dot-chaining approach.
