    Cookie Day is back! A unique, socially distanced Cookie Day will be held this Sunday, Dec. 13th. Hours are 1pm to 5pm. Cookies will be sold in bags for $5 (cash only). Supplies will be very limited!

    Due to the Coronavirus crisis, we are now extending the closure of until early June. All events until then will be cancelled. Our plan is to re-open on Saturday June 6 at 11:00. However, as it is a fluid situation, this as a tentative date. Thanks, and stay safe

    In order to help protect the safety of our staff and visitors from the COVID-19 virus, the Tollkeeper's Cottage will be closed until April 5. The Talk for this Thursday March 19, Nancy Montgomery and the Richmond Hill Murders with David Raymont, is cancelled.

    Just a reminder that our St. Patrick's Day Irish Tea scheduled for Saturday March 14th has been canceled. The Cottage will be open as usual for tours, which are usually conducted individually or in groups of two or three. Thanks for your understanding!

    Visit us this Saturday the 14th for our annual Cookie Day! Come in and buy our delicious home-made cookies. We've also got lots of other gift items such as hand-knit mitts, door snakes, doll clothes, and books on local history.

    Save the date; We will once again be holding our St. Patrick's Day 🍀 Tea on Saturday March 16, Noon to 4. Lovey warm tea and Irish soda bread, only $7. Also, we're still offering knitting, crochet and mending help and advice in March and April.

    We're happy to announce that as of January 26th, we will be open again to visitors on Saturdays 11 - 4! You can come in for tours of The Cottage, and (until the end of February) lessons on knitting, crochet and mending.
