Happy 2018! My new year resolution: This is the year the Immersive Web comes out of beta and stops hiding behind flags!

If you search for "Bluetooth Headphones USB-C" you get random Reddit threads. For anything on Amazon you have to hope someone mentions it in a review or the photo happens to show the connector (usually doesn't.) I guess I'm just weird for caring about this?

I'd like to get my wife a simple, cheap pair of on/over ear headphones that are Bluetooth (because 3.5mm jacks are eww, I guess) and actually charges with the same cable her phone uses (Type C). WHY IS THIS SUCH A HARD THING TO FIND?!?

Active noise cancellation is one of those things where I understand exactly how it works and why, but it still manages to feel like black magic. "I counter your sound with... ANTI-SOUND! BWA HA HA!"

Am I the only one who sees this image and immediately thinks "Woah! That's a scary battery bulge you've got there! Get that thing to your local genius bar ASAP before it Note 7's your pocket!"

Switching from Inbox back to Gmail feels like having bookshelves painstakingly organized by subject/author, then coming home one day to find someone has piled all your books into boxes labeled "Good Books", "Books Oprah Likes", and "Other Books".

Context: And yes, I'm sure it will support ARKit, but I'm also sure that's not why they named the phone that.

VR/AR people: Let's call the things we are building "XR" and carefully build up immersive computing associations with the term over time. Apple: Hey! Check out the iPhone XR! It has exactly nothing to do with immersive computing!

Almost everything I've seen about the new Spider-Man game makes it look like exactly the type of game I want to play, and yet I have zero interest in owning a PS4. 😢

*Siiiiiggggghhhhh* You know, the Edge browser IS actually pretty good theses days, compared to ye ol' IE, and has a lot of very talented devs working on it. Marketing stunts like this reflect incredibly poorly on their hard work.

A colleague shared this meme today and I came to realize with a certain amount of horror that it's a functional replacement for a non-trivial portion of my social media presence lately and in the foreseeable future.

Of all the nice things that people have said about Dead Cells on my feed, why has nobody linked this wonderful animated trailer? This instantly appealed to me more than a thousand game screenshots ever could.

This is what Nintendo's Splatoon game looked like, long before the set and character design. First consideration: is the mechanic fun? See more from on this weekend.

At a clinic where they have patients sign in on an iPad. Got most of the way through filling out my info when *PLEASE SIGN IN TO ITUNES* which closes the app and now my last 5 minutes of data entry is lost. Thanks Apple!
