Meet Josh. He's the deputy opinion editor of the Chron. Josh arrived from Philly in 2017. Presumably he hasn't developed any friendships with people in the park. I imagine he hasn't read The Battle for People's Park. Josh would like you all to know the park is just "history" 1/5

Chevron just spilled 600 gallons of oil into the San Francisco Bay area. Any hope for a sustainable future requires the end of the fossil fuel industry.

Biden & OAS continue to support the criminal puppet regime that is suppressing democracy in Haiti and shooting at protestors. The Haitian people again demonstrate their courage in the face of US imperialism

Big Mike & Juan Aguilar are poultry workers. They are out here tonight outside Amazon’s warehouse because they understand first-hand the benefit of a union, coming from a workplace that is uniquely dangerous as we tragically learned last week.

If Biden ends US involvement in the Saudi genocidal campaign in Yemen, that’s great. Never should have been. But never forget it was the Obama-Biden admin that started this including key figures in Biden’s cabinet. They started the fire they now say they will stop pouring gas on.

If Redditors rallying GameStop is unacceptable market manipulation, what would you call it when greedy Wall Street bankers gambled away our entire economy in 2008 and faced no consequences?

The longest filibuster ever held on the US Senate floor was 60 days in 1964 to prevent the passing of the Civil Rights Act. The filibuster is a tool of obstruction. It does not encourage debate, it does not allow for more voices to be heard, it is for suppression only. End it.

There was one Covid case yesterday here in New Zealand, not far north of Auckland. The patient was a recent returnee from Europe, had finished her 14-day managed isolation (MIQ) period, & sent back home, but somehow presented symptoms 5 days after. How do I know all of this?

Something I’m willing to wager is that if we had less millionaires in Congress, $2,000 checks would’ve already been out the door. We need more working class people that share our lived experience to run for office.

Democrats have the Presidency, the House, and the Senate. We have a mandate for change that will impact ordinary Americans everywhere: a $15 minimum wage, stimulus checks, bold climate action, and much more.

Sen. Bernie Sanders on using reconciliation (50 Senate votes + VP) to pass urgent relief for Americans who need it: "[Republicans] did it. We're going to do it. But we're going to do it to protect ordinary people, not just the rich and powerful."

Obviously they’re all right back on their deficit hawk bullshit now that there’s a Democratic president. Time to go BIG and do it through budget reconciliation like has been pushing. Messing around negotiating with these ppl is a waste of time.

Lol Bernie Sanders threw his meme on a sweatshirt. Charged $45 for it. Sold out immediately in all sizes. Then donated 100% of the proceeds to Meals on Wheels Vermont 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Our food produce workers wanted a $1 raise after risking their lives in COVID. They were denied, asked to pay more for healthcare, & told “you’re lucky to even have a job.” So they went on strike. Community supported them. Now they’re getting a $1.85 raise and $0 out of pocket.
