I am watching Biden’s address, and my son is in the front room playing “Voodoo Chile" on a classical guitar. Not at all like last year.

My little boy’s best friend is moving to Australia this week. He is heart broken. This is the goodbye card he picked. I am in one million little pieces right now, everyone. One million little useless pieces.

This is so very interesting. I am thinking about gathering some colleagues to read and talk about RANGE this summer. Is anyone interested?

I’m not going to dignify this with any amplification—screen capture only. But I do want to say I have had people occasionally suggest that maybe I overstated my case in PICNIC IN THE RUINS. Reader, I did not.

This is a very good question. I asked my mother the same thing as we stood in line to see the King Tut artifacts decades ago. Mother told it to me straight.

I had the honor of talking with Hardy about my novel, PICNIC IN THE RUINS, an event hosted by in Seattle. Pick up a copy from them, and why stop at one! Liberty wouldn't.

I hadn’t thought about land theft as it relates to land grant universities. This article gave me a lot of food for thought.

This is my creative process. I send my agent a cool novel idea and some pages. He asks a few "what if you” questions. I storm around, growling to myself about not being understood, then from the eye of that storm emerges a more evolved and interesting idea. It’s like he knows.
