    Required theme park reading.

    In better days, I spend a lot of time at museums, live theater and ... yes, theme parks. The work of Disney's has helped me articulate that it's all connected. We don't go to theme parks to escape our world; we go to make sense of it.

    I loved “Soul.” This is the review from my colleague . In an alternate world, I feel this would be an attraction in the Wonders of Life Pavillion. It’s clear that “Soul” is made by disciples of Epcot.

    My favorite Xmas song, which is a Nick Cave outtake. I love this song so much, as it’s about reflection but also moving on. It wholeheartedly embraces both of those actions/emotions. Throughout, Cave wrestles with nostalgia, anger and hope. Listen and cry.

    Zoom shows are hard. Immersive comedy is hard. knock BOTH out of the park with Ebenezer, which has a few added tickets for tonight’s show that benefits .

    I spent Thanksgiving at a small part of Disney California Adventure. As lovely as it was to see familiar sights -- and some familiar staffers -- what I had been hoping to find was optimism.

    i just read the weirdest knock-off version of this, so please feast your eyes on the original masterpiece from , whose work will undoubtedly be what we turn to in future years to explain how all of this felt:

    The official run time on “Wolfwalkers” is I think about 102 minutes, but it took me nearly the entire the day to watch it because I kept pausing it to admire the ornate, hand-drawn work. Every scene is a visual tapestry. A visual animation treasure.
