"Elon" is not used as a name in Braun's book. It is the title for each man elected every 5 years as the leader of the "Kabinett"(A body of persons appointed by a head of state or a prime minister to head the executive departments of the government).

As some standardized units have been named after people who invented or led to the invention, maybe "Elon" could be used a tittle for leader of the Martians after the person pioneers the Mars settlement.
