I’m shocked, absolutely SHOCKED to learn that Vinay did a YouTube interview with ZDogg and called me out by name, questions my integrity because they somehow doubt that there could possibly be multiple people in this country who have Nazi tattoos such as swastikas and SS bolts.

This wouldn’t be the first time either of them expounded upon things about with that they clearly have absolutely no understanding.

While I can understand that folks outside of medicine may not fully understand the extend of what we face in medicine, the attacks and willful ignorance of folks within are deeply disappointing.

If either of them - or any other folks in medicine - are unsure of something, they’re welcome to ask me directly or even ask any of their other colleagues. Hell, I would gladly invite them to come spend some time in the emergency department with me directly if they aren’t sure.

One more thing: there’s a deep irony in the idea of being attacked by someone who - when I called him out previously on this platform - attempted to scold me by email for not having just contacted him directly to speak about my disagreement rather than calling him out publicly.

Also, in the video - if you choose to watch it - Zdogg references our prior disagreement about abortion, which I documented here:https://medium.com/@tnicholsmd/abortion-and-zdoggmd-bbed8969a4c9 …

WHAT? I guess you and I just treated the same person YEARS apart because there's only one person with tats like that in this country. Clearly.https://twitter.com/MurseWordsworth/status/1004953253887406080?s=19 …

If I can help resuscitate a patient with WHITE POWER, Schutzstaffel/SS bolts and other Nazi tats covering their body or a convicted child murderer serving a life sentence...then those jackholes could've just made the cake and kept quiet. Do your Job. Keep your hate to yourself.

Yea, I mean while we worked together at UCSF - I didn’t have you there with me while I was in the PNW unfortunately. The racist history of the region, such as Oregon red lining the entire state until the 1920s, creates a hot bed for ongoing white supremacism.

I’m just really sorry. And interested to learn that there is only one swastika tattoo anywhere. Wish it were true.

Same. I truly wish. I really don’t think people are even willing to try to understand how common this is or how prevalent racism is in this country.
