Hate to burst everyone's "miracle drug" bubble but: "Remdesivir use was not associated with a difference in time to clinical improvement (hazard ratio 1·23 [95% CI 0·87–1·75])" I feel like we're living through the oseltamivir debacle all over again.https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31022-9/fulltext …

Also have to consider side effects of giving a drug versus benefit. Higher proportions of patients dropping out of the study due to side effects of remdesivir shown along with these mild benefits.

That’s the severe study - benefit in time to improvement today was in the milder population

Honest question though - if there is no significant benefit in "severe" patients, and a lukewarm possible benefit compared to poorly designed control in "moderate" patients, how much do you trust the data?

This looks like a negative trial. I mean, you got to massage this data really hard to find anythjng positive.

So here’s the question. Same day as this they are doing science by press release flogging a non-mortality endpoint in a trial that misses signficance on mortality?
