If you show up to the emergency department and have to wait, do not then yell at the clerk about how upset you are that you got up in the middle of the night to come in because "if I knew that I was going to wait this long, I would have just gone to clinic in the morning."

The internet is in a tizzy about the sight: Mike Pence swearing in Kyrsten Sinema — the first and only bisexual senator, and the only senator with no religious affiliation — on a copy of the U.S. Constitution. Here's our coverage of Sen. Sinema's win:

I’m thrilled to join and next week in Washington to introduce a bipartisan universal background checks bill. Americans have spoken. It’s time to address our gun violence epidemic, and this new Congress will not sit silent.

Is this a threat? You seemed perfectly willing to make thinly veiled anti-feminist comments, yet seem to pretty quick to threaten others for responding. And for the record. I completed a four year residency, am an attending, and am a board certified Emergency Physician.

Thank you to ⁦⁩ and ⁦⁩ for the fantastic conversation about medication assisted therapy for opioid use disorder and the fears and realities of initiating treatment in the emergency department.

I know some great feminists. Anyone else able to confirm that supporting Muslim women and immigrants does not equate to feminism supporting Sharia law?

Pt presents for 3rd ED visit in a week. Huge workup each time, no etiology found. On HPI, symptoms revealed to be due to opioid withdrawal—patient terrified to reveal stigma. 30 mins later, Bupe resolved sx and patient scheduled for warm hand-off. ED MAT initiation matters.

This entire thread. May we treat each other better, and moved towards a more sane and compassionate health care system in 2019. Until then, I will love my job as the remaining safety net.
