I'm happy to earn a #2 spot from devoted dems, and merely ask folks to be open to the possibility I might actually be their #1.

This is a strong first run and I really hope this is not your last campaign.

I love the idea of winning the race without money, and showing a rep does not need to perpetually fundraise to stay in office...reps could focus on the job! We should change our expectations of and relationship with our representatives.

It's possible to win without fundraising in Maine races where Clean Elections funds are available, although one does need to get the $5 qualifying contributions.

Since we don't have that for federal, it's moot for this race. I know you have your pony in this race, but imagine how delicious it would be to have a rep in Maine that won by focusing on this being a job interview and not doing all the annoying political stuff.

It's just a matter of communication. You can't communicate with enough people in a congressional district for them to know you and your views without some money spent, even for flyers/palm cards.
