Getting DMs from others w/
#peanutallergy. For transparency, my kid also has asthma that is tough to control. Those ppl have
risk of fatal anaphylaxis & unfortunately are also pts who are not to use this drug. A major ongoing unmet need. Please keep going!

There is a chapter about what it’s like to have a child with a severe peanut allergy in Maggie O’Farrell’s book, “I Am, I Am, I Am”. The depiction of the constant fear parents must live with no matter how closely they monitor their child’s exposure to food has stayed with me.

Ditto. Glad for the research, but if my kid qualifies, I think it will decrease my worry as a mom by, umm, zero. Also concerned with all the headlines about it, public will now think there’s an easy solution & that nut allergies are no biggie anymore.
