    The COVID-19 pandemic has only increased the severity of many of our nation's housing problems. 32% of households missed their housing payments in July. Widespread loss of housing will only worsen the pandemic as people lose the ability to socially distance & isolate.

    In 1943, LDF founder Thurgood Marshall argued before the Supreme Court in Smith v. Allwright. This rights case was a watershed for Black rights and signaled the beginning of the civil rights movement. Marshall considered it his "greatest" case.
