2/2 For #journalism outlets, #Twitter is an influencer medium, but not a significant source of website / app traffic. There's an argument to be made that from a corporate perspective, the time media dedicates to Twitter is extremely inefficient & with a minimal ROI.

"NPR needs twitter a LOT more than twitter needs NPR." // Sounds right, but is probably not true. Newsrooms & journalists dedicate inordinate amounts of time to #Twitter. But truth is, it sources <5% of most outlets' traffic. I think 's was ~2%, when I was there.
