Admittedly, I mentioned it in a video call with my family back home on Skype, Christmas evening. Of course now that I’m tweeting about it, I’ll see ads even more.

Someone explain this to me. I’ve never seen a Michigan Lottery ad before. I don’t have the Facebook app (I use the mobile website, don’t ask). For Christmas I got a lottery ticket. Haven’t used it yet. As of yesterday, I see them all the time.

I’ve read tinfoil hat theories about the Facebook app using your phone mic, but I don’t have the app, even if they are true.

Yea been seeing people tweet about this more lately. Facebook app reads my texts and emails cuz I'll see ads for food or products that I've texted about or looked at online. Hasn't happened from a voice convo yet but I've seen people tweet about it

Did you REALLY not see ads before, or were they just uninteresting to you before?

I gave that some thought. It's like when you are interested in buying a new car you suddenly see the car you're interested in on the road more often. I do usually take note of the ads on facebook and twitter though. Sometimes to see how bad "The Algorithm" can be,
