Here's my shot: when AT&T announces their new Tweetar service, it means they can't limit Twitter to 5kbps to ensure their "service stability."https://twitter.com/crucially/status/933067589529432064 …
My only criticism is that prior to 2014 when ISPs were reclassified as common carriers under Title II, there wasn't a comcast version of twitter for the 7 years twitter was out. Or any other social media site. (1/2)

However, I'll admit that for streaming services this is a very real concern. Comcast was already known to throttle netflix prior to 2014 and many ISPs' parent companies have competing streaming services. (2/2)

When I called to complain I wasn't getting close to the speeds I was paying for to TWC a few years ago, I mentioned Netflix, and the rep said Netflix "has problems with demand" and tried to upsell me to full premium cable.

Plaxo Pulse begs to disagree with you. There's literally no shortage of these stories.

I guess? I'd never heard of Plaxo Pulse before this tweet. Short reading of it shows that it launched in 2007, was acquired by Comcast in 2008, and abandoned social media in 2011. All this happened before the 2014 reclassification.
