Aside from @opsct being my favorite @H1Z1KotK player, there's something else that I love about playing up his return. Huge part of what

drives fans to sports is fandom to a player as a celebrity. In physical sports, teams are tied to geographic locations, so fans attach

to the team of their city, stage, or college. In esports, you don't have that. Fans can attach to teams, but it's not as strong of an

emotional connection as with a city, college, or whatever. The alternative is to create emotional attachment to the players themselves.

You see this in traditional sports too (Favre, King Felix, Peyton) and especially in non-team sports (Tiger Woods, Serena Williams).

Next level of that is not just attaching to the character of the player but to the story of the player. Wrestling does this extremely well.

The rivalies, alliances, and betrayals are all played up in wrestling. It's about the entertainment. Just as true in NFL, NHL, etc
