Let's say someone told you "ctors and dtors are bad because they obfuscate code", where would you even start in trying to convince them?
Time wasted convincing them could have been spent on development. Or relaxation/recreation. Or family time. Or a million other things.

It's fallacious to assume that language feature acceptance doesn't matter. I can't think of a single feature in C++ that exists for giggles.

Convincing them to adopt RAII, or move construction for lifetime extension, or lambda initialization of consts all lead to fewer bugs.
