If it's about buying AMD or Intel and building a rig on a budget, AMD's Ryzen 7 looks a lot better than Intel's Lynnfield Quadcore.
And I'm Intel biased -- been buying them exclusively for years. That's something that may change, even with a minor dip in perf.
