Most cases I run into of it tend to be those who just want to dismiss a game's worth or merit.

Come at me with a word like "agency" in this discussion and I'll take it seriously.

I think the conversation is not all that worthwhile in the end. Just because something isn't a game (no agency, no goal, etc)

doesn't mean it isn't a powerful artform. Interactive Experience -- call it whatever. Real question: Is it worth experiencing?

yeah, don't get me wrong -- there is. I mean for those who attempt to discredit the worth of something because it isn't a game.

it's lack of "gameness" doesn't somehow make it inferior to a game or not worth a person's time.
