Git's argument that it's fast is kinda garbage when working with a team. Most often you don't care about local commits anyway. Pull/Push

takes just as long as P4's Sync/Submit. And if you're rebasing (good practice, apparently) then pull and rebase takes even longer.

never mind the headache of rebasing after you've been pulling and merging, and you have to remerge because it's replaying your commits.

There was rarely a time that I wanted a local history of my changes in P4 anyhow. Maybe twice in 4 years. Shelved CLs worked fine usually.
