Git's argument that it's fast is kinda garbage when working with a team. Most often you don't care about local commits anyway. Pull/Push

never mind the headache of rebasing after you've been pulling and merging, and you have to remerge because it's replaying your commits.
There was rarely a time that I wanted a local history of my changes in P4 anyhow. Maybe twice in 4 years. Shelved CLs worked fine usually.

Never mind that the tools for Git are generally bad. Ask a coworker how to do a thing with Git, he doesn't use the same GUI as me. No clue.
