I know it's not trendy to say you hope games fail, but I really hope the LotRO license expires in 2017. Could really use a fresh start.

I can see that. But it worked for Knights of the Old Republic. Plenty of known names in that age too.

So they were accustomed to non-Luke/Vader/etc. characters. But I'd wager 90% of LotR fans haven't read Silmarillion.
