I tried searching for "Open 3D Engine" earlier today and got Wicked, Ogre, and a few others (oddly, no hits for godot). Now, O3DE is all I get when I search the same terms. Only non-O3DE result on page 1 is Ogre, toward the bottom.
I say this because this morning I had the same thought as you. In a matter of hours, it's proven to matter little.
