Ok. Thought about it a few mins. Bulbs have a vacuum in them. I assumed it was the entire bulb. It looks like only this small clear plastic chamber held the vacuum. the rest of the bulb was oxygen? It got too hot, burned the plastic, then the oxygen exploded?
While putting the kids to bed tonight, this lightbulb exploded. Was in a lamp, so glass went everywhere. My understanding is that, whatever went wrong or was faulty, it explodes in part because there’s a vacuum in the bulb. Does the wisdom of twitter know why this happens?pic.twitter.com/EXIlHR2pKP

Did a search on Youtube for slow-mos of light bulbs bursting, but it was all from being hit or something. There's got to me someone who can get this happening in slow mo and explain it.
