@androidstudio just told me it's running low on memory, and to increase it's heap size. It was using 2.2 gigs.
Um no. You can just use less memory.
And while your at it, stop hanging every 8th keystroke.
I restart Android Studio and it's immediately using 1.1gigs with two files open. I am pushing it to the absolute minimum I need and it's just hog-wallowing it's way through my RAM.

It’s probably because of the min heap size set by default. It’s to avoid heap resizes as you start using it. There’s a way to lower it if that’s what you want.

I lowered the starting memory to 512 (apparently default is 1024m?). Now I get C/C++ configuration errors. I'll probably put it back to the default and minimize the time I need to use Android Studio.
