if you're debugging something it might make sense to use a very low spp number just to keep iteration fast, as you can probably already see obvious mistakes right away. Depends on the goal ofc.

Yeah, I've done that for things where it makes sense to. This one I was trying to generate a few images to see how the bug happen in different ways, so I kinda needed a more full render. =(

I heard that if you just write a world-class denoiser and world-class upscaler you can render everything at 240p and it looks fine™. That should sort out your render times. You're welcome.

I'll be honest. I've held back on jumping on the raytracing bandwagon, so while I'm aware of the joke you're making, at this point I wish I was far enough along to at least entertain it in reality. =(
