One universal thing in game dev is if you tell a game designer something isn’t possible with the existing tools, they will find a way to do it in the way that most angers the programmers in charge of that tool.

You have two jobs as a tools programmer: 1. Add the features the design and art team request. 2. Dread the moment they find all the extra janky tools you've added for yourself to fix the problems they manage to cause with the "official" tools and now have to add those too.
