This thread is my first time learning about friends (WTF they've been in since c++11??) but I instantly thought of my event queue in my input manager (and other vectors/queues/etc I use for managers). Useful!!

Prior, I was just exposing entire containers as public and trusting myself or others not to touch them outside of the also public getter/setter/etc.
