I will sometimes plan to work in the evening after the kids are in bed so I can make time for them during the day. Depends on what is going on that day. Usually I like to do my own stuff and “shut off” work before dinner.
The key is making sure it’s always deliberate and not something you slide into doing all the time. Brain works better when I treat work time differently. Get fully ready and dressed, be in a different room, etc. Once the worlds start merging things go south.
