Isn’t there that quote that’s like, “Any entity that solves a problem is incentivized you persist the problem it solves.”

Aren’t some problems naturally persistent? To which point a company cannot obsolete itself. Razor companies provide a way to shave, but hair continues to grow back. Farms will always need tending, watering, tools wear and break down.

I suppose if someone makes a better razor, razor makers would go out of business (or adapt to the new technology). But hair still grows and we need hair removed. The problem is still there, even if a better solution is made.
