The critique that games are too long is not really opinion. It's pretty much fact. Your UX, your code, your novel, your script, your illustration, your logo, your speech, your /everything/ would almost 100% be better with less of it. I thought all creatives knew this.
Isn’t this more or less what “Double A” was supposed to be? It was a hot buzzword a few years ago with Helblade as a leading example.

I feel like the AA moniker was thrown around a lot but not enough studios were making a REAL attempt at the AAA quality on a small budget. 10 mil is still a LOT of cash. when you have a CORE team of a few ppl that are all generalists, you can make a game for virtually nothing now
