Anybody else do home-brew software rendering to test out ideas? Really nice to completely control the environment when you are trying to evaluate quality.

Admittedly, it's been awhile since I've done it. Done more GPU experiments in recent years.

I just can't be bothered with GPU setup for home projects. Too much of that at work.
