Coupled to amazon's growth in headcount. Those employees likely would be hired somewhere else anyway (at least some % of them) and near-or-at the same pay. Could be amazon makes little to no difference from a headcount perspective. I could be missing something.
With enough evidence I'll believe anything. Without I can only conjecture at the possibilities. An entity as large as Amazon certainly could produce job growth enough to make a difference. I wonder how close to reality either scenario is.
